So what is a night market? Basically a city street food festival showcasing Philly’s best authentic restaurants and food trucks. These night markets, inspired by Asian Street markets, started three years ago in East Passyunk. Since then, ten night markets have been held around the city with hundreds of local vendors in attendance. Drawing more than 100,000 people, they couldn’t help themselves when talk arose of South Street.
